Based in the heart of Nottingham, our office is situated next to the National Justice Museum and benefits from excellent transport links and nearby parking. Our welcoming and diverse team is working on some of the most prestigious and innovative projects in Nottingham, across the UK and around the world.
We are looking for anything within the range of intermediate – associate engineer who has experience within Nottingham & East Midlands with track record of winning work, existing client relationships and finding and bringing in new work. You are highly interested/motivated to grow their network, find and win opportunities ultimately help to grow our business and presence in Nottingham and in turn drive your own career prospects.
A solid technical background is a must, with someone who wants to learn and develop their technical expertise under director mentorship. For the higher seniority levels Chartership is a minimum standard, for less senior levels a strong intent to get chartered is preferred. We can aid a candidate through the chartership process.
You will have proactive communication skills and be adept at working remotely. Work experience in the local area is preferred. This role is Ideal for someone who wants to work hard to meet demanding goals and in turn rewarded well for exceptional performance. This role would greatly accelerate the career of an ambitious Intermediate/Senior level engineer who can perform.

From leading-edge arts and media facilities such as the Everyman Theatre and Confetti Institute of Creative Arts to major new student residential developments, we are supporting schemes across a huge range of sectors.
You’ll be working collaboratively with the team to create structural designs and analyse building structures and will play a key role in the successful delivery of projects across their lifecycles, from inception to hand-over and beyond. You’ll deliver detailed, innovative and creative designs, drawings, specifications and design guidance notes using 3D software packages and will craft high quality written reports for internal and external audiences, always keeping an eye on deadlines and accuracy.
Working across boundaries as part of a fully integrated multidisciplinary team, you’ll have a great platform to present your ideas and designs. Ensuring health and safety and sustainability considerations are central to everything you do, you’ll liaise with architects, clients and the wider design team to create efficient and integrated structural solutions. You’ll also have the chance to develop your leadership skills by supporting junior members of the team and through the supervision of design staff, where you’ll provide learning input and verify their design calculations, drawings and specifications.
Through our mentoring programme, you’ll have the opportunity to continue the development of your skills and experience and further hone your leadership capabilities by partnering with some of our most experienced engineers and business leaders.

Although we’re happy to consider applicants with more or less experience, you’ll ideally have qualifications, experience or skills in the following areas:
• You’ve got a relevant civil or structural engineering degree
• You’ve achieved chartership, or are working towards becoming a chartered structural engineer
• You like to take an innovative and creative approach to structural design and are always eager to explore new techniques and ideas
• You have a great understanding of the CDM Regulations and designer’s responsibilities and are able to show experience of working with British Standards
• You’ve got excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver complex and technical information to engineers and non-engineers alike
• You’ve developed exceptional planning, organisational and time management skills, with the capability to balance tasks and prioritise to meet tight deadlines
