Based in our office a stone’s throw from Borough Market in the heart of Southwark’s thriving Bankside, our welcoming and diverse team are working on some of the most prestigious and innovative projects in the UK and across the world. From sustainability-focused offices and commercial premises to cutting-edge healthcare facilities and from award-winning retail developments to major new residential communities, you’ll have the opportunity to play a major role in delivering schemes across a huge range of sectors.

Main duties/responsibilities of the role will include:

• Provide training and support to engineers who are learning Revit. Be on hand for any queries engineers have. Do so in a professional and amiable manner.

• Create a positive culture around Revit use to ensure it’s fully utilised.

• Work with the BIM Manager to ensure projects are being delivered in such a way that digital workflows are carried out efficiently.

• Lead model management for all London projects.

• Liaise and guide less senior Revit technicians.

• Deliver Revit models coordinated and clash free to the correct LOIN inline with scope and RIBA stage.

• Maintain communication with other offices to identify and cope with the ebb and flow of projects workload.

• Liaise with client and expect to be point of contact for BIM expertise.

• Participate in coordination meetings internally and externally.

• Expected to check own and others work.

• Manage deliverables on time to a high standard.

Experience and skills:

• Experience working with Revit proficient engineers.

• Experience overseeing multiple projects while also maintaining delivery output.

• Sound understanding of Revit MEP functionality including modelling systems, creating and working with schedules, creating sheets.

• Proficient in Navisworks and experience in clash detection and coordination.

• Proficient in AutoCAD with experience in setting up drawings and maintaining standards.

• Strong 3D coordination of all MEP services – taking into consideration unique features associated with each service, allowing for access and maintenance, buildability, etc.

• An understanding of BIM terminology.

• An understanding of classification, COBie and Ifc.

• Able to produce and a passion for neat drawings and modelling.

• Experience of the main CDEs.

• Experience of Office 365 products.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience.

• A desire to learn new digital skills in a changing industry.

• Dynamo desired but not essential.

• Ideate products desired but not essential.

• MagiCAD desired but not essential.

• BIM360 Experience desired but not essential.

Within Waterman we now carry out our projects in the 3D environment with Magicad design tool across all offices. While a detailed knowledge of this software is not a essential (training will be provided) an awareness of working in a 3D environment is, as is a knowledge of cable sizing and lighting design software.
